For cyclists & hikers

Our E-Bike charging station for e-bikes and pedelecs is located right next to the German Life Saving Society watchtower on Zierow beach during the summer months. Up to four electric bikes can be charged easily and quickly at the same time at the "Charge4Bike" charging station. This charging station allows the e-bike to be parked properly and charged using the sockets integrated into the bike stand. The rider only needs to plug in his charger. The electricity at the charging station is provided by the municipality of Zierow free of charge for all e-bike riders (connection: earthed safety plug; charging power: 3.7 kW.).

While your bike is being "refuelled" effortlessly, you can take a break on the beach, enjoy a swim in the Baltic Sea, take a walk through the beautiful nature in and around Zierow or replenish your energy with a snack for the journey ahead.

During the winter months, the e-bike charging station is located at the Tourist Information and Community Centre.

Zierow and its surroundings have a lot to offer cyclists: The region offers many recreational athletes and active holidaymakers a very extensive range of cycling tours to and from Zierow or its surroundings. Cyclists can, for example, cycle along the Baltic Coast Cycle Route to the Hanseatic City of Wismar or to the Baltic resort of Boltenhagen.

Below you will find some beautiful bike tours that invite you to explore the Zierow region:

The regional cycle routes “Kulturradweg” (Cultural Cycle Route), “Westliche Backsteinroute” (Western Brick Route) and also the “Ostseeradfernweg” (Baltic Sea Cycle Route) lead through Zierow and its surroundings.

A number of beautiful hiking trails lead through Zierow, including the European long-distance hiking trail E9, over which you can hike from Zierow through Hohen Wieschendorf to Boltenhagen or along Eggers Wiek through Hoben to Wismar. The hiking trails lead along vast fields, through deep green forests and all the way to the sea. Here hikers and walkers can still experience the natural and unspoiled. Numerous places and locations with wonderful views in and around Zierow invite you to linger and pause for a while. A walk on one of the natural beaches in Zierow is particularly worthwhile, for example in the Fliemstorf or Eggerstorf districts with a dreamlike view over the bay.

For water fanatics & sunseekers

Relax on the sunny Baltic Sea coast of Wismar Bay. The natural beach of Zierow is very popular with families who have small children thanks to the shallow entrance to the water. The 2km long beach section at Eggers Wiek offers carefree bathing pleasure. On the beach you can make yourself comfortable in a beach chair. A beach shower is also at your disposal.

Located directly on the beach are a large playground, various snackk bars, a café and a miniature golf course. A designated dog beach is only a short distance away.
In the surrounding districts there are various natural beaches, which are among the most beautiful in the region and where you can find peace and relaxation all year round.

For bookworms

In our book exchange corner you will find second-hand books for your reading pleasure, but you can also donate some of your own books. Our book corner is based on the principle of taking and giving. You can simply borrow a book for free or exchange one of your own books for a book in the book corner.

For history enthusiasts

Our small village museum in the community centre invites you to visit us on Mondays - Saturdays from 10:00 - 14:00 (during the months of May - August also on Sundays from 12:00 14:00). Here you will learn many interesting facts about the history of Zierow.

Playgrounds & sport fields

A large children's playground with a volleyball and basketball court is located directly on the natural beach in Zierow.

Another large children's playground is located immediately next to the village's community centre.

The local football field is located at the entrance to the small town of Zierow.

The 18-hole miniature golf course "2Beach" is located in the immediate vicinity of the natural beach in Zierow.

You will find a bowling alley in the restaurant "Oase", which belongs to the Ostseecamping Ferienpark Zierow (Baltic Sea Camping Holiday Park Zierow).
